Home Safety:  Preventing Injury

Help parents and home providers recognize and eliminate hazards in and around the home. Participants will explore why children are at risk of injury and types of injuries that most often occur. Home safety hazards are presented according to the type of injury, including common causes and prevention of choking, poisoning, cuts and wounds, head and neck injury, fractures, burns, and dental injuries. Enhance this training by showing examples of common household objects and substances that can be dangerous for children.
