A Whole Health Curriculum
for Young Children
This training is designed for
programs which have or are considering implementing the
comprehensive health education curriculum, Growing,
Growing Strong (Redleaf Press, 1997). Growing,
Growing Strong provides developmentally appropriate
activities in health and safety education, nutrition,
transportation, mental health, self-help skills, and other
topic areas. This training emphasizes the importance of
early childhood health education, and participant activities
help participants feel comfortable with the curriculum and
incorporation of curriculum activities in the daily lesson
plans.
